Rowan Smith is a licensed mortgage broker based out of Downtown Vancouver, Canada. He has been in banking and finance for over 9 cumulative years, has worked with experienced developers through to first time home buyers and welcomes inquiries of all kinds.

Rowan graduated in 2003 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, capturing the Dean’s Medal awarded to the student in the program with best overall grades, and graduating with distinction. However, he found both of these achievements to be useless in the search for a suitable job, but helpful in his approach to business in general. He then worked for 2 years towards his CGA designation before realizing that he was not that interested in being an accountant. Throughout this entire time, he had thought from time to time about going into brokering. Having already worked at a local credit union for several years, it seemed like the natural next choice to go out on his own as an independent mortgage broker.

He is hard working, accessible, ethical, and able to deliver under tight deadlines. His laid-back approach and fun-loving style make him a very easy and yet efficient person to deal with. He enjoys working with people, and is an excellent choice for people with difficult schedules who need a personal touch.

Knowing that not every client fits into the box that banks prefer when applying for a mortgage, Rowan is skilled at advising clients what term, rate, and product type best fits their unique and individual needs while making sure they understand and are comfortable with their choices.

He prides himself on being accessible 7 days a week by both traditional telephone and fax methods, or for those more technologically adept via email and other electronic mediums.
